Furniture for the pupil

February 25th, 2007

Place “under the bed”
It is a real rescue for small-sized apartments if the child still does not have his own room. Monoblocks are very compact: a bed and a table under it. And capacious boxes and shelves for books and clothes are on each side. It is necessary to take care of the good fixture such design can’t be located near the window.
Also keep in mind, that certain “freedom” under a table is necessary for the teenager. The space where he puts legs should have 50 centimeters in width, 60 centimeters in height and 65 centimeters in depth.
School desk
School desk is good for pupils of the elementary grades. To hold a bearing - to sit at an inclined table-top - will be possible only with a “direct back”. Mums should look from time to time that the distance on behalf of the future genius up to the book on a school desk was approximately equal to length of a hand (from an elbow up to fingers).
There are such standards for pupils: for younger pupils the height from a floor up to a table-top should be 60 - 62 centimeters. For more senior children it should be 68 centimeters. And the standard German school desk changes a corner of an inclination and can be adjusted under any size - from the pupil up to the student. It is also possible to work even standing.
How to choose an armchair for the teenager and to teach him to sit correctly?
The armchair should not be too narrow: it is necessary, that it was convenient and your child felt comfortable in it. Otherwise the child will quickly get tired.
It is also possible to adjust height and depth of a seat, height of a back and position of armrests.
The top part of a back should be a little bottom. At such configuration the back well supports a body, a backbone and gives hands freedom of movement.
The compressed fist should pass between edge of a seat and a back surface of a shin. This would provide a normal blood-groove in legs. The forward part of a seat of an armchair should be rounded and should have a small deviation downwards. It reduces pressure under the knees, and legs do not become numb.
BY THE WAY
50 % of pupils have already the infringement of bearing! Therefore it is so important to choose correct furniture for the child.

Children’s room

February 24th, 2007

Oh, those adults with their bedrooms, sitting rooms, cabinets, masterful and other billiard rooms!!! At the child has all this variety in one room. Therefore, when you are making out a children’s room, you should remember, that it is the whole country!
Psychologists consider that the child needs his private territory since two years till the high-grade development. It is known that even an adult needs to spend two hours a day in full loneliness (or it is simple without dialogue) to feel the psychological comfort, so, what to say about the small person who is just strains to discover this world!! Besides the private space, where nothing and nobody bother your child, where everything arranged according to his tastes, creates an atmosphere in which, actually, and there are no obstacles for the further development of your child and allowing your child to become a self-complete and confident person. Here he gradually starts to realize him as a separate essence, studies to concentrate, to create and to work. Therefore, even if you can’t provide to your kid with a separate room, you should give him necessarily to his using even the small corner precisely allocated from the general living space.
House geography
The personal room for the child is a place, where all life passes, except for unless feed and hygiene. For this reason children’s room simultaneously is both a bedroom, and a cabinet, both a drawing room, and game, both a sports hall, and an art workshop, and still is all that you or your child wants. What the tiny room has got to the small little man, it is all the same necessary to think of how to divide it into functional zones. It is possible to allocate such three basic zones: dream and rest area, games area, study and work area.
If you have two children and they live together in one room, your sacred duty is also to divide a room according to this principle. The only thing that can be common for young tenants is a game zone. Division into personal “apartments” can be made even without obvious partitions. Increase by two basic set of subjects of furniture for a life: a bed, a wardrobe, a desk. Arrange them in the different ends of a room that children did not stir each other. And arrange “a game carpet” in the middle of the room- a neutral strip on border of two countries. Some designers advise to pick up for children furniture and textiles on color - the firm shade-code for everyone. It is possible to make division into zones even more obvious, having fenced off a sleeping or educational place of each child by the wardrobe or the rack.
Room-person “grows” together with the owner
In the same manner as the sitting room is a reflection of a private world of owners of the house, and a children’s room is a place, where the interests of your kid converge all and is shown its individuality. Psychologists consider, that even the three-year-old children have their own opinion and it is necessary to consider this at planning (or age alteration) of the children’s room interior. At this age color predilections, tastes, and also creative propensities of each child - to drawing, designing, outdoor games- are already quite designated, so, it is necessary to be guided by the child, buying cases for toys: how many, what size and a style. On the other hand, parents should understand that for such tender age statement that “life defines consciousness” is especially important. Therefore your problem is to decorate the room so that the child has grown in an atmosphere of spiritual development and which would not go counter with other space of your apartment.

Decorative fountains

February 22nd, 2007

Room fountains represent the decorative device, brining coziness and comfort to our life and besides, rendering favorable influence, both on health, and on mentality of its owner. Decorative fountains are simple and simultaneously economic air dampeners. Thus the microclimate is naturally adjusted. The streamlet of current water gives for humidifying air as much it is required. Absorption of water and the air humidity are connected with it and directly depend on temperature, the sizes of a premise, initial air humidity and on the internal conditions.
The decorative fountain humidifies air, influencing favorably on health, especially at respiratory system diseases (chronic bronchitis, bronchial asthma, chronic laryngitis and pharyngitis).
Higher air humidity is favorable for people and pets and it is also useful to wooden furniture and musical instruments. Owing to it accumulation of statistical electricity in the carpet coverings, connected with radiation of computers, decreases.
From ancient times salutary, calming influence of a stream of water on mentality is being known. Unfortunately, in the high technologies and unprecedented speeds era, we do not always presume to ourselves, to go on coast of a stream or a mountain falls and to relax. However, the same high technologies enable you to bring in a vain life a particle of wildlife.
We hope that the decorative fountain will make your interior cozier and will also positively influence a psychological atmosphere in the house.
Sea, silent deep mountain lake, stream in countryside - all these are favorable for relaxation.
Water murmuring has simultaneously excitingly, and relaxing effect. That is why various reservoirs, ponds, streams of water have always been favorite open-air vacation spots. Nowadays water is even more often used at arrangement of free space in the house.
Unfortunately, not everyone presumes to own a small lake or a pond. But now you can enjoy pleasant impressions of water, even having the small area. Room fountains allow us to perceive beauty of water even in the small premises. The small decorative fountain will help to recover and decorate the most static and strict interior.
Water possesses the surprising attractive force. Waterfalls, fountains and reservoirs attract people when they are having a walk in park more than flower beds and borders.
It is no wonder that water played the major role in large parks from the very beginning of their history. However we for certain know that in the first European parks water was a unique element of an ornament. Ancient Persians built the channels laid out by tiles and murmuring fountains; Spaniards have inherited from moors their style and skill to arrange complexes of garden reservoirs and have transferred this skill in XVI century to Italians. In XVII century Le Notre has arranged magnificent reservoirs of the strict form magnificent reservoirs of the strict form in Versailles, and in Britain L.Brown has filled the whole avenues the with water, having created ponds of free outlines. These great constructions have been constructed with the unique purpose - to show the beauty of the water.

How to choose garden furniture

February 21st, 2007

Every year the market of garden furniture is being sated with production both of domestic and foreign manufacturers. In this article we shall try to find out how correctly to choose garden furniture and what models it is possible to buy.
Plastic
The popularity of plastic furniture can be easily explained: such furniture is not expensive and it is quite practical. Besides, the plastic garden furniture is waterproof. The technology of its manufacturing (moulding under pressure, application die-cut elements) has allowed replacing traditional wooden chairs with graceful comfortable armchairs.
Lunch and dessert tables, chairs are always in demand. The plastic benches were the “best seller” of the last season. For the last two years the plastic folding chaise lounges transformed to stove benches are steadily becoming more and more popular. They are very convenient for sunbathing. The price is various and depends on comfortableness, small wheels for easy moving and, certainly, the trade mark.
Nevertheless plastic has also many disadvantages. For example, these are the fading and decomposition at direct solar illumination. This remark is fair for cheap grades of plastic, but some expensive grades of plastic are resistible to ultra-violet radiation and do not burn out. Besides plastic is a fragile material.
Wicker furniture
It differs by its extraordinary grace, ajour style and, what is the most important, by its natural consistence. Such furniture is always associated with coziness.
Such furniture is usually made of willow rod of various thicknesses and represents rather complex products in the design attitude. Products made of rod can be divided into some types conditionally. The first one consists of a skeleton, whickered with a thin willow rod (not 0,5 centimeters in diameter). It is the cheapest variant of whickered furniture, but it is also the most unattractive one and such furniture is very unpractical. In most cases such furniture (without repairing) can serve you only for one season. The variant when a skeleton is braid with sanded up willow is more preferable and the rod is thicker - despite of small increase in the price you will receive more durable product. Besides such models are usually more attractive (unfortunately, there are also exceptions).
And finally, a skeleton from a thick rod (2-4 centimeters in diameter), with openwork designs from thinner rod (1-2 centimeters), and weaving from a thin rod is used only as a decorative element there, where the loadings are minimal. Naturally, the rod should be sanded up. It is important, that the rod has been varnished (usually use a furniture varnish) as thus the rod becomes less soiled and gets water-repellent properties (it prolongs service life of a product in some times). Varnished products can be easily washed and they are more attractive. When you buy furniture, do not forget to ask to ask the manufacturer, whether the rod has been boiled: the rod, thoroughly boiled according to special technology, is bent without breaks, does not lose elasticity after drying, besides at boiling all microbes, which lead to rotting of a tree perish, are being weeded out. You can use such furniture can for 20-30 and even 40 years.

How to create a dominant for an interior?

February 18th, 2007

Metal in an interior
Metal cannot frighten the designer of interiors. Bronze handles, copper ceilings, steel kitchen utensils, even gold the sanitary technician often appear a dream of the customer. Hence, their accommodation becomes a problem of set interior designers.
The wrought iron products get the increasing popularity in a modern interior. Use of iron gives to a premise a special glamour - a combination of solidity and originality.
Art wrouhgting does not only means fencings and window lattices. Smiths manage to make unique furniture from metal: coffee tables, supports for colors, products for a fireplace, stylish ladders and many other things. Masters-smiths seldom repeat the products in details and consequently with a huge share of probability; having got the wrought thing, you should not be afraid of meeting with precisely same one, but in other’s territory.
What is the difference between metal sculptures from any other accessory from the same material? The iron chimney lattice, door handles and wrought handrail only “support” the basic idea of an interior. A sculpture does on the contrary. It is center of the basic idea; it is a dominant of the interior. All other design can emphasize only a sculpture and submit to it. It, certainly, concerns to a sculpture from any material, whether it be a product from clay, a tree, plaster, clay, a marble, wax.
Art from iron stuff
Let’s stop on the new actual form of the modern art - a techno-art. This is an absolutely young direction. So, critics and judges recently have seriously become interested in the art-objects in such style.
Sculptures are created from iron stuff. Any iron material will be accepted: spare parts of cars, metal subjects of house utensils, fragments of garden lattices, elements of building designs.
Advices
And finally we offer you some important advices, if you have decided to decorate the house with such original image. So:
1. If the sculpture is made to order, the customer should compare the size of the sculpture with the dimensions of the interior.
2. The sculpture requires some special attention from the owner. Establishing sculptural composition in your house, allocate to it in a place and organize the thought over additional illumination - and the money spent by you on art, will be paid back with the attention and guests’ delight.
3. Each sculpture has its soul. Probably, it is a part of the master or owner’s soul. Also consider that sculpture does not suffer indifference too. However, the person indifferent hardly will decide to change the image of the interior and a way of life of his life.

Interior changes as a key to success and good mood

February 13th, 2007

Sometimes you come home and understand that everything is so boring … All this has bothered you so much that … it would be desirable to…change it!
How is it possible to change life at minimum money and energy expenses?
Let’s think together, what can be really done.
Let’s slowly bypass an apartment, thinking, which things and interior elements require repair or constructive changes. The main thing is to start changes! At the beginning we advice you to define which things really irritate you. Does the corner of this table constantly stir you? Do we hate that terrible coloring of the sofa? Or has the old mirror in bathing bothered us at all?
Let’s look around. We shall feel a “mood of the premise”. Do you feel comfortable here? If the answer is negative, then it is a high time to start doing something. Sometimes it happens so that the furniture accumulates so many places, that the apartment reminds a labyrinth with twisting passes. Or it is possible to loose mind from the endless set of the accumulated pictures-caskets-vases-knickknacks.
So, first of all, we collect our will in a fist, and start to get rid of all that unnecessary “interior rubbish”… You should throw away everything that causes unpleasant feelings, irritates you, and has completely bothered: necessarily - broken, slovenly looking and useless (absolutely “killed” sofa, ancient self-made shelves, the piano) things. Don’t be afraid of getting rid of this “interior rubbish”: many problems will disappear from your life together with unnecessary things.
But we shall leave our favorite things. What about all those things that cast pleasant memoirs and connected with any events, presented by the favorite person? Perhaps, it is necessary just to change something? For example, it is possible to replace upholstery of a cozy sofa or to buy a new cape for an armchair or beds.
It is possible to recolor or restore the old grandmother’s locker. Children’s pictures, photos can be collected into the exhibition on a wall instead of the bothered carpet or a picture. Even that we store from sentimentality - cards, charms, dry flowers, different trifles, can be issued in uniform frame and hung up on a wall. Such details, created by the hands and imagination, will transform our house, add individualities, character. We are sure that you will feel comfortable in the house which corresponds to your mood and temperament, storing history of your family.

How aquariums influence on the style of the house

February 9th, 2007

The house aquarium can be floor, built in, dioramic, pendant. Each variant has its advantages and its lacks. But any aquarium needs to be placed so that it has been limited in illumination by direct solar beams (no more than 2 hours a day). It at all does not mean, that the “house” of small fish’s should not be put near the window - simply in this case it is necessary to hold a window curtained off for a part of day, that is not always convenient.
The floor aquarium is the most widespread variant because of comparative simplicity of a design and convenience in service. The complex includes capacity from a transparent material for water, a support and a cover-fixture. By the way, such aquarium should not always represent a correct parallelepiped - sharp corners and rounding off are also possible. Models of 500-600 liters in volume should be established on strong curbstones inside of which all equipment and dry forage for fishes can be hidden.
The support may be opened or closed - it is necessary to consider stylistics of an interior. If there is a lot of tree in a room then a curbstone also should be made of tree or in tone of furniture or doors. We advise to use aluminum and glass, smooth surfaces with illumination in avant-garde interiors. In the bathroom it is possible to revet a curbstone with ceramic tile or ceramoplastics.
The built in aquarium can be a part of a niche or an interroom partition, therefore its depth usually does not exceed 350 mm, and its width quite often reaches 3 meters. Such object is equally elegantly looks in two, divided by it, premises, sometimes carrying out a function of a night-lamp. It is much more difficult to mount a similar design and to look after it, than in it was in the first case. You should also remember that such aquarium requires much more space.
The aquarium-diorama represents a mix of two previous variants - with that only a difference, that its forward wall is concave with small radius of curvature. As a result the observer has a sensation of “immersing” in the underwater world. According to designers, it is very difficult and very expensive to make and establish such design (either in floor, or in the built in variant), but the visual effect will surpass even the most courageous expectations.
The pendant aquarium allows saving a place, but, naturally, is limited by requirements on weight (more often up to 100 kg) and to the sizes. Its version enjoying recently by the big popularity, is a “picture” aquarium. It is named so because it has a depth of no more than 18 centimeters, and the specific glass is usually framed by a baguette.
If you want to buy the aquarium, we advise you to discuss such questions with the designer as aquariums influence not so much on the borrowed area of the room, but on the quality of external perception of a piece of a underwater empire, stability of the biological balance, the spent electric power, quantity of small fishes etc.

Furniture garnitures

February 1st, 2007

One of key components of a drawing room is the furniture garniture. This furniture product can carry out set of functions. For example, it can be storage of books, utensils, household appliances, audio- and video-techniques.

At the beginning of development of a human civilization there were no furniture garnitures. Then, people started to make shelves, simple cases and racks. Some time later the aesthetics of housekeeping has move to a new level, people have understood a role of convenient and beautiful things in the life. As the furniture industry developed, masters designed new products, leaning on ideas of time, thought out more convenient concepts furniture of some. In modern furniture garnitures glass and glass attributes are widely used. Firstly, this idea has been cautiously apprehended by buyers, but later people have understood, that the presence of glass at furniture garniture makes it more original and convenient. Behind glass the crystal utensils and expensive products from porcelain were beautifully looked.

Presently alongside with wooden furniture garnitures, furniture from even-textured particle board, homogeneous particle board, platen-pressed particle board, lists with a veneer covering, which is differed by a high durability and maintain greater loadings, are also made.

Last years the big distribution is received with modular furniture. It is the furniture which is designed in such a manner that it is possible to change and supplement its structure during the use period.

For example, the furniture garniture can change its style by adding of extra blocks, shelves or partitions. Even little change essentially changes a kind and functional rhetoric of the furniture. Earlier the style of the furniture garnitures was mainly classical and seldom differed by the variety from other models of the similar concept, but in due course, owing to new ideas of designers and designers, manufacturing of non-standard components which made a furniture garniture special, became real. For example, a variation in height of a furniture wall or a depth of each module can change spatial representation of the furniture and locate it originally.

Earlier, for example, furniture garnitures had opening or folding doors. Now, harmonious and sliding doors, various non-case elements have been already designed.

Kitchen furniture

January 31st, 2007

Undoubtedly, kitchen interior is very important for its owner. The kitchen set, a coloring of walls, home appliances and correct illumination can transform usual kitchen into a place pleasant for visiting, cooking, eating and communicating.

The choice of kitchen set should be started with measurement of the kitchen. It is better to draw the plan of the kitchen, to mark a desirable site of furniture, to choose a coloring of furniture so that it was in harmony with the color of walls, a floor and a ceiling. Further it is recommended to consult with the designer about an optimum configuration of kitchen set for the given premise.

The furniture industry has stepped far forward and already nobody can be surprised with usual kitchen set of the standard of the twentieth century. Therefore furniture manufacturers are searching for new decisions and concepts of kitchen furniture using glass, metal, plastic.

For example, transparent tables, made from the strong glass, which is built in a metal skeleton, became very fashionable. The chairs, combining leather and metal, have the same tendency.

Certainly, if the kitchen is small it is necessary to combine opportunities and desires. for solving this problem, the designers have already fond out interesting decisions, building in kitchen furniture refrigerators, household appliances and even TVs to make the kitchen as much comfortable as possible.

Usually the structure of kitchen set includes a table, chairs or stools, hinged cases and floor cases. Often floor cases are combined with a table-top and they play a role of a table for cooking.

Some people prefer to put a soft kitchen corner in the kitchen. It consists of an angular soft sofa, chairs and a table. It allows saving a place, in fact the basis of a soft sofa often contains additional compartments for storage of various products, kitchen utensils and devices.

Kitchen is recommended to be well shined and a table should be put in the center of a premise or at a window as light exposure of kitchen positively influences mood and enlarges premises.

Modern kitchen sets contain even such necessary components, as additional illumination, thermometers, original compartments and fastenings for devices and kitchen utensils.

It is necessary to understand, that the kitchen set is not only necessary furniture for the kitchen, but it is also furniture which turns eating procedure into pleasant moment in a life of each person.

Children’s furniture

January 30th, 2007

For the child the house should be a symbol of heat and coziness. For this purpose it is necessary to give a maximum of attention at a choice of children’s furniture.
The child should feel cozy and comfortable in the room. The right choice of furniture is important. First of all, the furniture should be ecologically pure, in fact that the health of a young growing organism depends on it. At purchase it is recommended to pay attention to materials of which the children’s furniture is made. Unfortunately, there is a children’s furniture from materials and varnishes that are harmful to the child. It is necessary to study closely characteristics sheet which is applied on furniture. Secondly, the coloring of furniture is also important. Strongly sharp and bright colors of children’s furniture negatively affect the mentality of the child, make children nervous and irritable; too faded and cold colors are also negative for the reason that the child often runs into depressions and an apathetic condition.
Thirdly, at a choice of a couch or a bed the mattress is important. Couches in children’s rooms are most widespread. As it is known, a mattress is put on a wooden skeleton of a couch. It is recommended to choose a rigid mattress to avoid a curvature of a backbone of the child whose skeleton is forming and very strongly reacts to such elements. The best mattress is one made from a coconut fiber, but it is very expensive and not each family at a choice of children’s furniture presumes to buy such mattress. Optimum variant at the price of and qualities is a mattress from foam rubber with a thickness not less than 10 centimeters. Also the mattress should be rigid and should be minimally deformed at compression.
Correct colors of the room, illumination and competently chosen competently chosen children’s furniture will as much as possible improve a life and development of the child.
From all spectrum of children’s furniture children’s couches, tables, chairs, shelves, beds and cases are in great demand.
Very often, if in family there are two children, a two-story couch is preferred. It helps to save up a place in a room, giving the child more space for games and development.
The children’s furniture takes the important place in a life of the child. By means of it the kid studies in simple household things which will be useful to him in the subsequent life: to put furniture, for example, chairs on the necessary place, to clean a table after game or lessons, to wipe a dust and to make a bed. Contrary to opinions, that the quality of children’s furniture is not so important for the child, it is possible to say, that furniture is the important element. So, it is not necessary to save at purchase of furniture, in fact its choice is also as important for the kid, as a feed and fresh air.
